PRIVATE TOUR ANY DATE | WHERE: Corumbá – Jardim – Bonito – MS | 7 DAYS / 6 NIGHTS
WHAT TO EXPECT?
A 7-day, 6-night itinerary in the Southern Pantanal, an ideal location for spotting jaguars and wildlife, and enjoying crystal-clear waterfalls.
The tour begins in São Paulo, SP, and our meeting point is Guarulhos International Airport. We’ll take a direct flight in the morning to Campo Grande, the capital of the state of Mato Grosso do Sul. Upon arrival in Campo Grande, we’ll transfer by air-conditioned car or van to Pousada Santa Clara, near Passo do Lontra. After exploring the Pantanal, we’ll continue to the Bodoquena region, where we’ll visit the Boca da Onça waterfall complex, crystal-clear rivers in Bonito, and the famous Buraco das Araras, a sinkhole in the city of Jardim inhabited by thousands of scarlet macaws and other bird species.
The trip lasts 7 days and six nights, with two days dedicated primarily to round-trip logistics and five full days dedicated to excursions in the Pantanal and Bonito. At the lodges, we’ll enjoy a variety of activities, including hiking, boat trips, and a night safari in an open-top truck. Horseback riding and piranha fishing are also available for those interested. The program includes two days of morning boat trips on the Miranda River, focusing primarily on jaguar and giant otter spotting; an afternoon and evening safari in an open-top truck along the park highway; a trail for birdwatching and wildlife, such as the giant anteater; horseback riding; and piranha fishing.
Our lodge has a bird feeder that is a spectacle in itself, visited daily by countless blue and scarlet macaws, among other species.
Our strategic location, on the banks of the Abobral River and close to the Miranda River, is an excellent spot for jaguar and wildlife spotting, between the Rio Negro State Park and the Nhecolândia region, considered by many to be the most beautiful and emblematic of the Pantanal.
This tour is suitable for people of all ages, as most excursions are by vehicle or boat, and our accommodations are very comfortable.
The Pantanal’s fauna is one of the richest on the planet, both in variety and quantity, and its sparse vegetation facilitates observation of all this fauna.
The Pantanal is one of the last refuges for a large number of mammals that once thrived in South America, such as the jaguar, puma, ocelot, maned wolf, tapir, giant anteater, giant otter, capybara, deer, and many others.
We would also like to emphasize that we cannot guarantee that you will encounter any specific species, as this is a wild place and nature can be unpredictable.
The tour is organized by photographer and wildlife filmmaker Rafael Guadeluppe, founder of the video production company Latin Wild Films and author of the documentary about the Atlantic Forest “The Pulse of the Atlantic Forest”.
